VITUS – SDD Module

The VITUS – SDD Module

The VITUS Silicon Drift Detector module is the optimal choice for x-ray energies above 1 keV in applications that require excellent long-term stability like (T)XRF and XRD. Both the production process of the SDD chip and the assembly of the module are optimized to obtain a very stable and easy to handle detector module.

  • Range of warranted energy resolution 130 eV to 149 eV
  • Active area of 7 mm2, 10 mm2, 20 mm2, 30 mm2, 40 mm2, 80 mm2 or 100 mm2
  • Peak to background ratio of upto 20000
  • High count rate capability up to 5 x 105 cps
  • Integrated thermoelectric cooling (no liquid nitrogen)
  • Integrated temperature monitor

  • Optional ultra-thin polymer entrance window for low energy measurements
